About A‑CTEC:
A‑CTEC is a not‑for‑profit, Australia‑wide, member‑based education platform delivering a suite of evidence‑based, interactive clinical trials learning opportunities. Our programs are designed to support a diverse workforce, catering to a range of roles, experience levels, and learning needs.
Originally established as the Victorian Clinical Trials Education Centre (V‑CTEC) by the Melbourne Academic Centre for Health, Monash Partners Academic Health Translation Network, and Western Alliance Academic Health Science Centre, with support from the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre, Parkville Cancer Clinical Trials Unit, Melbourne Children’s Trials Centre, and Alfred Health.
In March 2023, V‑CTEC expanded nationally and was re-launched as the Australian Clinical Trials Education Centre (A‑CTEC), making its education programs accessible to the clinical trials workforce across Australia.
Our Vision:
To build the capacity and capability of Australia’s clinical trials workforce by providing equitable access to high‑quality, world‑class education and training, at no cost to the end user.
Our Approach to Clinical Trials Education:
We achieve this through:

Accessible, tailored education - Delivering training that supports varying levels of experience and competency and reflects the needs of diverse clinical trial settings across metropolitan, regional, and rural Australia.
-
Practical, evidence‑based learning - Offering engaging, interactive, and multi‑modal education designed for real‑world application.
-
Collaboration and co‑design - Creating opportunities for the clinical trials workforce to connect, share knowledge, and contribute to the design and improvement of A‑CTEC activities.
-
National collaboration and efficiency - Working across organisations to share expertise, reduce duplication, and strengthen clinical trials education and training across Australia.
